Dr. Nathaniel T. Blama, Sr. heads the team with more than 25 years of working experience. He is currently the Director of Global Environment &Youth Foundation (GEYF), Nairobi Kenya, He is the Managing Partner/ CEO of Planet Resources Management, Inc., Monrovia, Liberia. He is a Lecturer of Climate Change and Environment in Foreign Policy at the Gabriel L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is also a Lecturer of Global Environmental Management at the School of Global Affairs, Graduate School of Studies, Cuttington University, Monrovia, Liberia. He served as the Government Relations Manager / Country Manager for Ivanhoe Liberia Limited, a subsidiary of High-Power Exploration (HPX).
He was appointed by the, President of the Republic of Liberia to serve as the Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia, a called to national service he humbly accepted and served with diligence and commitment.
He is a candidate for PhD. in Environmental Policy and Law. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters, (H.L.D) in 2015. He earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration with emphasis in Public Policy Process. He also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honors) in Public Administration.
He earned a Certificate of Completion in Climate Change and Energy: Policy Making for Long Term and another Certificate of Completion in Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies, from the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education in Boston, USA
He earned several other Certificates in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Climate Finance, Weather and Climate hazards, environmental and climatological data base, Environmental Monitoring and Environmental Management
He also worked with the Environment Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA); at the EPA, at the EPA he served in several positions, including; Deputy Executive Director, Chief Technical Advisor, Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and Chief of Staff ,Project Manager, Planning Officer and Media & communication Officer.
He also worked with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), At UNEP; at UNEP he served in several capacities; including, Operations Assistant, Administrative and Logistics Officer and Field Mobility and Logistics Officer.
He worked with TWIN Business Group Inc. and Unit Stone Construction Company in several capacities including; Procurement Supervisor, Field Supervisor, Transport Manager and Expeditor.
He headed the Liberian negotiating team on Multilateral Environmental Agreements, (MEAs), participating in the development of international legal environmental instruments; He also represented Liberia at several international conferences, including the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN), Conference of the Parties (COPs) of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements, Technical Meeting, Capacity Building programs and Negotiator’s Meeting.
He chaired the meeting of African Technicians the developed Africa’s Common Position on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
